Colorado has always been denoted as a land so pregnant with budding artists. The reason became clear within a year of exploring her majestic presence engulfing me in her bossom and nurturing me so that I would find a whole new side of myself. I dedicate this blog to the Wildlife and Marine explorers who have correctly chosen Colorado for their venue of voyage.
Wildlife Experience:
1.Denver Zoo

My soul has always been craving the touch of other species. But the Denver zoo gave me a chance to be up, close and personal with them for the first time. The mere realisation of how insignificant I was in front of another species fascinated every bit of my soul. The leisurely walk of a gorgeous peacock right along me, completely overlooking my presence was truly intimidating. Denver Zoo is a home for more than 4000 animals of different species including rare Amur Leopards, Okapi, Black Rhinoceros, Elephants, Orangutans, Kimodo Dragons, Bears , Wild Rams and so many more. The open zoo stretched over 80 acres of open greeneries and finely crafted closures of intimidating animals.It also has a learning centre campas within the premises (not open to public). I would definitely suggest to put your walking shoes on as you might have to take long strolls. Breaks in between to catch up with the incredible free shows would be a great idea. Snack upon the sweet treats along the way and you are sure to make a voyage worth making memories forever.
2.Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Address - 4250 Cheyene Mountain zoo road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906
Timings- 9a.m to 5p.m
Rates - 17.25$ Adult passes ( 1st May through Labour Day)
14.25$ Adult passes (off season).

Sky High Adventures:
The Mountaineer Sky ride costs 5$ Adult and leaves from Mountain Outfitters Plaza and gives you an overview from high up above.
Wild Rogers Shrine of the Sun:
A drive through the Wild Rogers Shrine is included with your Zoo Admission for the day. Timings are from 9a.m to 4p.m.
Cheyene Mountain zoo is the largest and most majestic mountain zoo in the world. Spreading over 146 acres of picturesque awe, it homes over 800 animals of every variety you can imagine and even beyond. Each habitat is unique and unimaginably transports you to some part of the world you have never imagined being in.This was the first time in my life when I was in inside the habitat of majestic birds like African Grey Pearl, American Kestrel, Cockateil, Indian Peafowl (peacock), Emu just to name a few in Budgie Buddies. They were flying around me and nibbling on the bird feed provided by the zoo in my hands. I still remember the loving thankful eyes of the beautiful white Cockateil and its satisfied purr at the end of her lunch from my hands.She rubbed her cheek against my palm and my soul was rejuvenated. Rhinos in Encounter Africa , giraffes in the African Rift and the felines in Asian Highlands will leave you fulfilled and connect your souls with their's. The breathtaking views from the ropeway sky rides and the romantic drive through Wild Rogers Shrine gave me an opportunity to steal a few romantic moments with my husband to be locked safely in our hearts forever.
